You can apply to the various housing co-operatives for an apartment. In order to be accepted for an apartment, a few conditions must be met. For example, you must be over 18 years old and you must not exceed a certain income level.

Heating and electricity
Most of the apartments in Salzburg are heated with district heating or natural gas.

Living together
When many people live in residential complexes, there is a need for rules for successful cohabitation. The Integration Office of the City of Salzburg has therefore developed a folder with simple images, which helps in “Miteinander Wohnen“. The contents of the folder are translated into seven languages.
