Education does not stop after school. Because life changes quickly, adults also have to learn and continue to train. People start a new education, attend lectures or workshops. They do sports courses or have a creative hobby. The City of Salzburg has numerous places that allow adult education.

WHERE CAN YOU CONTINUE TO LEARN AS AN ADULT?

There are many large institutes that specialise in adult education, for example:

• Volkshochschule Salzburg
• WIFI Salzburg

There are educational centres that offer adult education, for example:

• St. Virgil

WHAT OFFERS DO THE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS HAVE?

There are also special opportunities for adult education in schools, universities and colleges. You can study while you work – these are work-related studies.

• University of Applied Sciences Salzburg

If you don’t have A-Levels, you can do Career Enhancement Training.

Or you can go to an evening school.

WHAT OFFERS DOES THE CITY LIBRARY HAVE?

The city library is a large library. It has books, CDs, magazines, music cassettes, videos and DVDs. You can use them free of charge and rent them for free. In the city library, you can for example:

• Read
• Learn in peace
• Surf the internet
• Listen to music

The book-bus of the city library is filled with books. It drives around the City of Salzburg. When the bus stops, you can borrow books for free.
