The apprenticeship career is an important start into working life. Here you can choose the career you want to focus on later. An adult can also start an apprenticeship. There is no upper age restriction.
HOW LONG DOES AN APPRENTICESHIP LAST?
An apprenticeship is a fixed-period and usually lasts two to four years. At the start of an apprenticeship you sign an apprenticeship contract relevant to the training. If the apprentice is under 18 years old, the legal representative, mostly the father or mother, must sign this contract. Teenagers under 18 years are not allowed to work more than 8 hours a day and 40 hours per week. For the professional title to be valid, an apprenticeship test must be taken.
HOW MUCH DO YOU EARN IN AN APPRENTICESHIP?
Every apprentice gets a small salary. The level of this is regulated by the collective agreement or it is agreed separately in the apprenticeship contract. The salary normally goes up after each completed apprenticeship year.

HOW DOES AN APPRENTICESHIP WITH A-LEVELS WORK?
In Salzburg the apprenticeship support association Salzburg is responsible for the transaction and the implementation of the apprenticeship with A-Levels. Basically, there are two options:
