Madeleine:Koch
Years in Salzburg
Madeleine Koch moved from Germany to Salzburg to do her master`s degree. Comming into contact with the locals wasn’t easy at first. Also the language, though German, was difficult to understand. It took her a while to follow the different federal dialects.
Until today prejudices are an every day topic in the life of Madeleine. Being stamped as a German, who certainly doesn’t understand serveral things, annoys her. In return, she was convinced that everyone in Austria was skiing and loves being in the mountains all the time.
Today Madleine knows that there are also Austrians who prefer to marvel at the mountains from below. In the meantime she has settled in Salzburg. Her tip for new immigrants: Be open, be on the move and hang out where you meet local people to come into contact with them. In the video she also reveals why her favorite place is the Salzach.
